i know i have gotten shipments of ammo that i bought on line from businesses and they shipped it UPS. but is it legal for an individual to ship it that way. i got on there website and it gave no information about it or how much extra it would cost. i need to ship a 70 pound package of it from missouri to florida and im just wondering about how much it will cost so i can collect the appropriate shipping charges from the buyer.

Go to the UPS website and ask them. I've seen this asked before and don't remember the answer, but I think that was how I shipped some problem shells back to their manufacturer.

If not, it may have to be sent by common carrier.

I imagine the companies that manufacture the ammo know how to package it so that it is safe.

Why don't you ASK UPS about this?

My guess is that the issue is safety in transit & proper labeling ot the contents.

Yes, under certain conditions. Check the local UPS office for instructions.
