Republicans aren't against gay rights, they include gays in the rights that we all have rather than making special rights for them. That doesn't make them anti gay it just makes them pro everybody.

This is just, ironic I think. Of course minorities should be represented in politics but not homosexuals is what you are saying? So, there should be equal representation of all races, religions, and thats about it but nothing to include those outside the mainstream sexual orientation? That seems hypocritical to me.

All the Republican gays are in the closet until they get caught, like Craig.

Yeah and didn't Jim McGrevey, the former Democrat Governor of New Jersey resign because in his own words, was, "a gay American"? How weird was that?

That is pretty lame.

There is a lot of hatred of gays still and it makes it hard for them to run for office. I don't think either party is doing a great job of promoting equal rights for gays but the Republicans are using fear of gays to promote themselves - purposely putting anti-gay legislation on ballots to bring out the religious conservatives to vote - and that is just wrong.

Well, my cousin is an openly gay state assemblyman and I'm proud of him.

I assume you mean only two in Congress.

That's two more than the Republicans have.

How many do you expect? Supporting gay rights doesn't mean going out and recruiting gays to run for office.

If Republications are against gay rights, then how come there are so many of them hiding in the closet?

Sorry, but I have yet to meet a Republication that knows anything about equal rights.

One has nothing to do with the other.

You can be an advocate against discrimination and for equal treatment of all people, even if you're not in a minority yourself.

Just because you support gay rights does'nt mean you're gay. More straights need to help them.

If Republicans are for gun rights why don't they give me some free guns?

If Republicans think Iraq is so dang important why don't they call draft? I won't dodge it.
