(t^2)^-1/2 = t^(-2/2) = t^-1

Just multipy the exponents:

t^(2 * -1/2) = t^(-1)

when you raise an exponent to an exponent, you multiply the two. so it's 2 x (-1/2), so it's -1.
t^-1 is is 1/t.

(t^m)^(n) = t^(mn)
(t ²)^(-1/2) = t^(-1) = 1 / t
