If someone offered you eternal life, would you take it? I think I would, just because of my insane curiosity to discover where the human race is headed. My biggest fear of dying lies not with what is beyond Earth, but rather with what is left on Earth. What if I die, and then one second later they invent teleportation? Wouldn't you want to find out if Judgement day really occurs, and be able to first handedly stand on Earth in the midst of all the chaos? *sighs* Or maybe I should just try and get out of Kansas more often... Anyways, please give your opinions about it. Thanks!

well, it seems you are relating eternal life to this life on earth you are in right now
there are other options for it, such as reincarnation is one form of an extended life for your spirit
and i would think of passing on from this life as a form of teleportation,
to me it would be simpler to pass on and view the future as a spirit, or else return for another lifetime, then trying to live this one life for eternity, and then what would happen years down the road if you did want a new body, to start over, and yet you were stuck here with the old body and life?
but an interesting question

Once you get passed the whole "seeing all of your loved ones died and attending many funerals" then yeah i would definitely agree with you. But like the first guy said, only if i get to choose when i want to die. Just in case i wanted to die or if humanity really does take a turn for the worst (i'll give humanity about a decade or so) and i did not want to be around.

Oooh, good question. If there was an 'opt-out at any time' clause, I'd do it certainly. If I would be stuck as a geezer, no. But I would like to see change - and more importantly, be the change in the world. I would love helping out in Africa and such for the rest of eternity.

I've seen elderly people get very tired, almost as if they're waiting to or even wanting to die. I don't think I'd want eternal life though. It just isn't in the scheme of things. I look forward to what God offers after death which is suppose to be better than life.

Only if I could die if I wanted to. You indeed should get out of Kansas more often.

I believe that Kansas is in the North and the Earth is kind of in the middle.
