Since Yahoo is not the government in which the first amendment is directed to concerning the freedoms there I would say no. If they restrict some and not all I believe they have violated someone else's personal liberty so they still must show equality in their pursuit of justice and be impartial in conjunction with their guidelines to everyone on an even playing field.

The constitution does not dictate freedom of speech when it comes to certain things. Yelling Fire! in a theatre is not freedom of speech and shouting threats in not freedom. Yahoo has made it quite clear in their guidelines what they will and will not tolerate and since it's their playground, you either follow the rules or go home. If you disagree with them, and think your rights have been violated, make up your own site and invite all the people you want....it's a free country.

No because they allow young teens to operate an account. If this was a 18 year old or older web site then I might agree w/ that. But here again if a site allowed the abuse and disrespect of each other on that site. It wouldn't last in the long run. Or wouldn't be very popular.

No I dont think so. Speech is speech but we have to use that speech in reverance around children here who happen to be on here also. dont go off half ****** and saying some dirty out of the way things here just cause you call it freedom of speech. You can get the point across with out all the bad language here and still get your message across.

No, they are not. You willingly gave up your free speech by agreeing to the terms and services (http://info.yahoo.com/legal/us/yahoo/utos/utos-173.html ). They reserve the right to ban you from this website for whatever reason they see fit. Along with agreeing to the terms of services, you agreed you would abide by the rules they set forth, such as not being racist or vulgar, etc.

No. Freedom of speech has it's limits. And it's their site.

Think YOU really have freedom of speech? try going into an airport and yelling, "I have a bomb".

See how much freedom is available to you after that.
