multiply -3 by 2x+1 and you get -6x+-3 then multiply 2 by x and -2 and you get 2x-4 then it comes out to be -6x+3=2x-4. Add the -6x to the 2x and you get 8x then you have 3=8x-4 add the 4 to the 3 then you have 7=8x now divide the 8 by 7 and you can do the rest hope this helped!

Yep, this was an easy one, so happy I can help.

To write this more simpilly, you can multiply that -3 out and the 2, so you would have after doing so,

-6x-3=2x-2

next step is moving the -3 to the other side so you will have now,

-6x=2x-1

next, you want to move the 2x to the other side so that your variables are together, this gives you the equation,

-8x=-1

Now, it's time to get that x by itself. You do this by diving each side by -8, and your answer is...

x=1/8

Hope this helps a bunch!

-3(2x + 1) = 2(x - 2)
-6x - 3 = 2x - 4
-8x = -1
x = 1/8

-3(2x+1)=2(x-2)
Remove brackets:
-6x - 3 = 2x - 4
Collect like terms:
-8x = -1
x = 1/8

expand: -6x - 3 = 2x - 4, and group x-terms:
-3 = 8x - 4. Now add 4 to both sides: 1 = 8x, and x = 1/8

It's 1/8. You have to distribute, then solve the equation.
