I was trying to spot treat it. Was thinking about scrubbing the stain w/ a toothbrush w/ oxyclean on it

Yes, the bucket says for all laundry loads....I just did towels in it an hour ago and they look fine.

let the water run into the washer then add the oxyclean to the washer then the jeans plus other colored clothes as you will need a full load,,,,,

Yes. I make a paste with it mixed w/ water then rub onto the stain.
