Yeah. And the glaucoma has worsened! I'm legally blind in one eye now and the doctors are trying to save what vision I have left. It's no joking matter.

I haven't had my eyes tested in over eight years. I just can't afford to get glasses, so I figure why pay for the testing?

My vision has been blurry for awhile now, but I think that it may actually be improving, because I can see much sharper images with my glasses off than I used to be able to.

This happened to my mother as well...she wore glasses until her late 50s, and then she gradually stopped wearing them because she didn't need them to do her sewing anymore.

No, but I need to. Things seem a little out of focus at a distance lately. And, I got a letter from the eye doctor reminding me I haven't had a checkup in 2 years now.

Yes, Back in June. I have it done yearly because I have Age related Muscular Degeneration (dry type) and I have had surgery for cataracts. Got new glasses and a pair of 'Transition" lenses which I love.

Yes, They found out I have cataracts, but they don't need to
be done anything about for a long time. I needed a new
glasses prescription also. The new ones look and work
great.

Yes, twice a year. Diabetic retinopathy is the culprit and I can't afford to let it go. Love Yahoo answers too much.

Yes, I did in January. I only need glasses or contacts to see!
Of course, I have been on a date where i should have been blind, he would have looked better without wearing my glasses!

Haven't had them checked for several years. Probably need a new prescription, but I can't afford glasses, or prescription.
