Something with a 12 cell battery stuck on the back and a 6 cell battery replacing the DVD drive.
Slow processor and crappy graphics along with a 5400 rpm hard drive would reduce power consumption and try for a smaller screen (run it at minimum readable brightness).
I'd have a lot of RAM though to make sure you don't use the swap file and I would stay the hell away from Vista.
