Last night Raul took the car, in a drunken stupor, and drove it over the nearest bus stop, the cart corral at Wal-Mart, bashed into the take-out sign at Burger King, and ended up in my neighbors' prize rhododrendrons.

Aside from the DUI, there has been talk about something close to $85,000.00 worth of restitution.

If he just says he's sorry and lets Jesus into his heart do you think he can get off?

I only care because, while he is not a very good driver, he does clean the car very well. I would hate to lose him for several years.

Cart corral at Wal-Mart: $600

Take-out sign at B.K.: $750

That leaves over $83,000 in damages to the rhododendrons.

That had to be one hell of a rhododendron.

Have him claim Lindsay Lohan was driving and fled the scene.

It's not like she's got much credibility to counter his claims. And she'll have plenty of time to show up at the trial since, you know, her career is deader than Dick Cheney's "soul."

He's probably lying...he already knew where Jesus was, along with his other brothers, Juan and Julio.

Given all that, you are better off replacing him with a better driver.

Tahini's right. Just have him talk about the voices in his head a while. You can probably get him o ut on work release if they lock him up.

Nah - if he tells the cops he found Jesus, they'll just want to go and pick the poor dude up and send him back south of the border.

Plead temporary insanity instead.
Good lines would be "the mighty crocodile god told me to do it" or "the fellow with the crazy tiger hat who always follows me around made me do this".

It isn't so much if he found Jesus, but what he does with his life now.

He'll still be punished. But he'll have Jesus by his side while he's in jail.
