This time of year they won't be $30. Fact is, if you don't have a reservation from about 6 mos ago you won't likely find a space here this time of year.

* KOA is nice and is off the beach
* Ocean Lakes is very nice and is on the beach
* Myrtle Beach State Park and Huntington Beach State Park are both nice (though low amenities as a State Park would) and are on the beach.
* Apache has a great pier and was a lot of fun when we stayed there. A little north of the action though.
* I've never stayed at PirateLand or Lakewood but have heard good things.

Best price will be the State Parks then KOA. Best amenities is OceanLakes.

Here:
KOA Campgrounds
maps.google.com

613 5th Ave S
Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
(843) 448-3421

This one is barely off S. Kings Highway (Hwy 17). I have stayed in KOA's all across the country. They are exemplary. Most have RV spaces, Tent camping, and cabins. Call the number for info specific to this campground.

all of them will run you about 30 bucks

I live in NC and I haven't been to these in a while but they were nice when I went. Stay out of too much trouble. Dont get caught drinking on the beach.
