Smoked Salmon:
How do you know I don't do those things? And my name is uniquely me-- you don't have to like it.

Well, read Dory the Fish's answer. She is 15 and is 1 of 3 who are completely qualified to answer. All 3 are honors students, have lots of friends and respect their mother.

Asking this question is so not-cool.
And your name is sooo uncool also.

Cool parents:

Allow their kids to do things to the limit before danger hits
Don't embarrass their kids
Wear clothes and have a character that influences younger generations.
Make their child's friends jealous of their parenting
Let their kids do cool things and give them independence
Are funny and are not laught at, but laught with.
Dont ask questions LIKE THIS.

HEY, i'm not saying you don't do any of them things, just trying to answer the question, the only thing i can judge you on here is your name and your spelling so i can't be that accurate, ALSO cool parents don't care what other people think of them ;).

Don't worry about being "cool". Just be yourself. Be firm but kind and love your kids! It will be o.k. Some days your kids will sing your praises and some days (especially some preteen to teen days) your kids may want to sell you. Not everything a parent has to do will make you popular. Don't worry. =-)

How will i know if you have what it takes?? If you're asking for advice why didn't you say so. I'd be your kid if loved me for who i was anytime, knew how to get the right clothes, feed me healthy food, never yelled all the time, and your good example.

I don't know anything about you, but I don't care. If you have what it takes to be any type of mom, then you're d*amn cool and that's fine with me, I've already been disowned several times.

people always try to do that...but it never works out...you can't be a good mother and have your kids turn out good, and be cool at the same time because you have to tell them what to do....and that isn't very cool now is it?

Well I don't know you but as long as you take care of your kid I'm sure you'll be a cool mom.

Why would you want to be a cool mum? Kids dont need friends they need parents.
