Area = pi r^2

given that the area is 225pi

225pi = pi * r^2

divide pi for both sides
225 = r^2

take a square root
r = 15 unit

the radius is half the diameter
r = .5d
15 = .5d
d = 30 unit

so the answer is 30 unit

Circle's Area = π(pi)r² where r is the radius

225π = πr²

divide both sides by π

225 = r²

square root both sides

r = sqrt(225)

r = 15

diameter of a circle = 2 times it's radius.

diameter = 2r = 2(15) = 30

area of circle = pi r^2 if area = 225 pi

r^2 = 225 r = 15 and 30 = diameter

area of a circle = pi * r^2
225pi = pi * r^2
225 = r^2
r = 15
so diamiter = 30

area of a circle = pi r^2
pi r^2 = pi 225
r = sq root of 225 = 15
r=15 so d = 2r = 30

2007-08-28 19:45:56 · answer #5 · answered by skipper 7 · 0 0

the answer is 30..

area of a circle is pi r-squared
take the square root of 225-- youll get 15
diameter is equal to radius times two
so you multiply the radius by two youll get 30.

diameter(d)= 2x radius(r)
hense r = d/2
area = (pi) x r x r or = (pi) x d x d/ 4
= 225 (pi) squared = 15 x 15 x (pi) x(pi)

therefore d x d = 4 x15 x 15 x pi x pi /pi
taking square root on both sides:
diameter d = 2 x 15 root of (pi)
the answer

area of the circle = 225pi.
pir2=225pi
r2=225
r=(225)1/2
r=15,
d=15*2=30 units
(note that r2 denotes square of r and 225(1/2) denotes square root of 225)

area = pi r²

divide by pi

=225

take the square root

= 15

r = 15

d = 2r

d = 30

for a circle:
Area(A) = pi * r^2
so we let
pi * r^2 = 225 * pi^2
we need to solve for r because Diameter(d)= 2 * r
divide by pi
r^2 = 225 pi
r = sqrt(225pi)
d = 2 * sqrt(225pi)
r ~= 26.58680776
d ~= 53.17361553
