Of course, many people seek to find out information about their house, who has lived there, has anyone died in there, has a celebrity ever lived there? The best and easiest way online to check this kind of information is via sites with specialised Census databases. Simply enter your details and they'll do the work and get all the information you'll need. In no time, all your questions will be answered. www.blurtit.com/q128335.html

Or another site is www.hoovers.com

Unless the house is literally famous, you are unlikely to find much if anything online.

Go to your local newspaper and look through their backfiles to see if there is any mention of that address in news stories.

Check with the county or city tax collector's office and see the records of who owned the house over the years. This would probably be a good first stop before going to the newspaper.

You can also check with the local historical society to see if there are any books about the house or former owners.

If there is any info available, you can find it. But you will have to do leg work and flip through dusty files and microfilm, you won't be able to do it with a Google Search.
