Every 3 seconds a child dies from hunger. That is 29,000 children who die each day. Judging from this fact, I would say that more than one person dies in every three seconds because that is just children, not adults, and that number only refers to death caused by hunger. So the answer to your question is a lot.

Not nearly enough.
The world is severely overpopulated.
Hurricane Katrina helped a little but some of the ingrates escaped & brought their criminal behavior & charity cases to neighboring states.
That's an interesting question though.
