The only reason I hired her was because of her looks. Now I find out that there is no way she's going to "earn" her keep. Heck, she can't spell, use a computer, or even make coffee.

I really was looking forward to the next trade show.

First, have her "looks" changed?

Or did you hire her because you expected her to have sex with people (you, or clients) -- because the latter is considered a crime (solicitation and/or pandering prostitution).

But to your overall question, it depends on the state/country and the terms of her employment. If her employment contract says she can only be fired for cause, then her private sexual activities (what she does when she's not on the job) is not valid cause. Also, some states and countries explicitly prohibit firing based on discrimation of sexual orientation.

Is this a joke? There are so many things wrong with that statement, I don't even know where to start.

You can't fire her legally, you can't make her earn anything with good looks, and I don't even want to know what you mean by "trade show."

I'm in the market for a new job with lots of perks. I could be her assistant, show her what to do, and the three of us could really put on a show, maybe even trade spots once in a while. Don't fire her. Hire me, and we'll both fire you up. Your satisfaction will be our pleasure.

P.S. Raul is more than welcome to join the show.

As you said "I hired her was because of her looks". Her looks have not changed since she came out of the closet did she?

Were you planning on getting some?

A lot of companies pay to have their employees take training courses. Without cutting her down because it is not her fault your reasoning for hiring her. Sign her up and pay for her to improve her skills. If she improves great. If she doesn't at all then maybe you might have a manipulative reason for firing her.

You have a problem with grammar yourself. Woman are lesbian. Men are gay.

Sure. Go ahead and fire her. Good thing you found out she was gay before you made a pass at her. At least this way you would be sued for discrimination rather than for sexual harrassment.

Maybe she took one look at you and decided to turn gay.. well anyway.. on a lighter note, that'll be discrimination.. and now that you posted something like this online for everyone to see, her lawyers are bound to find it and use it against you! ha, way to go loser. Next time, try to rid yourself of loose ends.. ;O)

That is called discrimination and you can lose your shirt ( I.e. loads of money) over that. If the person does their "job" then you won't have a leg to stand on for firing her because she won't "put out " to your sorry behind

It's still legal in 33 states.

Actually, in most states you can indeed fire her for that reason with no penalty. I suggest you do some research within your state.
