I put in a transmission from a Dodge Stratus into my Chrysler Cirrus and my mechanic crossed some wires and burnt the starter. I got a new starter and it started again, but the radiator fan keeps running really hard and the alternator light is on now. The transmission doesn't go into gear, and when it does it just goes into gear and back out in a matter of 3 seconds. We're going to check if the alternator is bad, but I need some other suggestions on what might be wrong, and if the relay switch or TCM might need to be changed. I need a lot of help on this one. Thanks.

It sounds like he fryed a computer It happens alot when people jump start there cars wrong or supply power to the cars frame/ground. I would get the shop that damaged it to pay for the repairs even if they say they can't repair they should send it to a good shop and pay for there bad work.

Hey Hey he he Get off of my clould! There are other fuses and computer circuits damaged. Now a expensive trip to dodge for a new computer and reprograming. Don't think you can wrecking yard a computer because dodge thrown in some weird reprograming instructions to keep that from happening. And I guess after 1,600 or more dollars that is not your mechanic any more!

It's a newer Chrysler product. It won't run right until the deal reprograms the computer for the transmission. Start there.
