for me being with my family and snow being outside and a huge tree inside with lights and sleds and garland outside the house with warmth from a yule log, decorations inside and a big great dinner and watching movies and going to church to celebrate Christ's birth!

My perfect Christmas?
Having all my family around me where my uncle has drunk allot and is laughing at anything, everyone telling the silliest jokes, my grandad fallen asleep before waking 2 mins later and pretending hes been awake the whole time, sitting next to the fire throwing the chocolate wrappers into it while my dad is secretly taking note of just how much i have eaten, the Christmas dinner with everyone sitting together talking, laughing and someone spontaneously pulls the party popper to scare everyone and the streamers go in a bowl of food and someone has to pull it of the table before it the end catches fire from the candles on the table. The general happy feeling you get from everyone....
I don't ask for much do i? hehe :)

For me, spending time with your family, having snow outside on Christmas day (hopefully). Warmth in doors with a fire burning, looking at someone when they open the perfect gift you spent hours searching for, a great big dinner on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and on Boxing day and sometimes on New Years Eve (party later), enough food and snacks in the cupboards with tonnes of ingredients for everyone to help out with cookies and cakes. The kids believing that Father Christmas is real is just magical and worth-while. Wrapping presents as a family with loads and loads of ribbons and bows with scraps of paper everywhere. Loads of things like that, really make it special and perfect.

A white Christmas and all of the family by the fireplace makes it a perfect Christmas for me.

Family and friends close by, all my favourite christmas songs on the stereo, cold weather (preferably snow), warm fire, good food and Christmas Eve to Boxing Day off work (they made me work last year and ruined Christmas for me!!! *Ggrr*).

Having all the family together and seeing the joy in the face of my 3yr old granddaughter when she sees the tree and presents....
Also, I have a 22 year old daughter with Autism and she still believes in Santa, it fills my heart with pride just knowing that her 3 siblings and nephews / nieces have never spoilt this magic for her.

Either actually seeing Santa, or playing Santa on Christmas Eve to get some kid to still believe in Santa Claus.

Peace and love for the celebration of the birth of a religious figure who preached of love and forgiveness for all. Freedom from need, certainly. Self-actualization in helping others to be free from need. A peaceful time with as many of those that you love as possible, with strife and disagreeable emotions at least set aside for the occasion.
