I hate to hear about and see the genocide that is happening in Darfur when I know so many military personnel are in Iraq. I've never had issues with the Iraq war but I now think we need to get out of there and be where we are really needed. The Holocaust led by Hitler was stopped. Why aren't we stopping this too?

Do you people not understand what is happening there? Innocent people, including women and children are being slaughtered by their own country. It isn't just to help feed them, provide medical care, etc. I think we should help save their lives.

It's warlords killing their own people, only they are of a different tribe. The same thing is going to happen in Iraq when we leave. Yes, we hate it and wish it wouldn't be happening. It was pretty awful when the Brits had the United Kingdom, but there was some kind of civility when they were there. What about Ethiopia. We send aid and the warlords intercept it. They also get ahold of the money we send. People keep trying, and that's about all I can see us continuing to do.

Do you realize what we are doing right now in the world ? Darfur is being raped by European countries and Nordic countries without question. We, the American public, are not the police force of the world.
My father was in Europe fighting Germans, My uncles in the South Pacific fighting the Japanese, some uncles were in Korea, My cousins and me, all of them, were in "Nam where I was wounded twice, my nephews were in desert Storm, my grandson has been in Iraq for three years.....I say "No more" we're done. Let some other countries carry the burden of these countries.
They tie our hands, call us names, and then terrorize our cities, let someone else carry the ball and, don't you dare try and give us a guilt trip, we've done enough.

What have you done for your country?

so let me get this straight, you think we have too many in iraq and not enoug in darfur? well there are suffering people all over this planet, we don't even have enough to help the people in iraq, that's just one country, how can we help darfur, and there's many other places that need help? we can't save the world.i say let all those rich hollywood liberals save up their own money if they're so concerned, and then recruit a bunch of volunteers and buy some guns and go over their and try to fix the problems, and then maybe if they need air support we could drop a few bombs, but that's about it.

i feel that way too but some people dont realize how bad things are like somepeople think there life is crappy but it could always be worse and they dont know it until the actually see it with there own eyes my dad recenlty came home from iraq his was the for about 7 years and came back 5 months ago but another thing about the war is that there are so many good things but we dont see it beacause the news channels and the anti bush partys are blocking all of that out so all we see is the bad stuff so i think that there will also be a war like when there was in the holocaust in the next 10 years

To comment about Iraq. We can't simply "get out" of iraq/ It's not that easy. We are too far in. But America can't help everybody. We are dealing with the whole middle east right now. We don't have the money and we can't take peolpe out of Iraq to help other's right now. Plus with everyone getting out of the military and not enough people joining............I mena the Army is letting gang members and those with multiple felonies join the army because no one is joining

China is in charge of the Sudan. If you have a problem with what's going on there, talk to them. If America got involved, the situation would probably get a whole lot worse, possibly even spark a global conflict.

People (me too!) think that America is geting involved in too many projects. While I agree we should be helping in Darfur, it would pr0bably just give the rest of the world a[nother] reason to hate us.

NO... it's not our fight and it's none of our business if those people want to kill each other off.
