Democrats obviously support/advocate equal rights, including homosexual rights, yet they question the morality of conservatives?

Does anyone see the irony in all the mud slinging by the left against Senator Craig?

Its not his sexual orientation we take issue with, its his blatant hypocrisy.

The irony is Craig's long time, fierce, and very vocal stand against anything other than "family values." The sad thing is that he is 62 years of age and has never been able to be himself. If the charges are true, his whole life has been a lie. Out of the public eye Craig's alleged behavior would be no headline grabber. As it is his personal life and career are probably ruined.

Irony? I'll show you irony!

Ask a Liberal if he believes everyone is equal, and he'll puff out his chest and talk in glowing platitudes about how everyone on earth is his brother and we're all the same.

Then start talking about the Iraq war. Get the Liberal really steamed up about Iraq, and he'll finally lose all composure and blurt out, "Oh come on. You don't really expect a bunch of volatile Arabs can handle democracy, do you?"

(By the way, this isn't just conjecture. I've had nearly the same conservation a couple times!)

So, there's the ultimate irony. The self-professed egalitarian Liberal, talking about equality for all mankind, and then showing his true colors. While Conservatives see Persians, Arabs and Palestinians as capable of handling Democracy, Liberals do not.

Now THAT is irony!

Irony? No.

It's just sad that we live in a country that people are so frightened to express thier sexuality. This goes for ALL people, regardless of political persuasion.

And, the fact of the matter is that Craig is a married senator. No matter what his politics, he had no bussiness soliciting sex in a bathroom. It's political suicide to get arrested for something like that.

Sorry, bro. There is no defending him. Craig did something monumentally stupid for a man in his position.

When Barney Frank diddled the page boys, it was a private matter.

I do get their point though. Barney Frank hopped out of the closet and didn't make bones about being gay. The republicans hide it and are a little rhetorical about homosexuality...sooooo, when this happens, they look hypocritical.

As for me, I just want my legislators to quit making so many laws, let me keep what I earn, and keep the borders safe...and I won't care who they proposition in the bathroom.

How about the irony of Craig voting against any rights for gay people.

The issue for Sen. Craig is not if he is gay or not, or even if he engages in sex in public restrooms (which for the record is pretty icky). The issues is he has made a public life out of bashing gays and denying them the same right he enjoys.

No one gives Barney Frank crap for being gay, because he does not pretend to be something he's not.

His moral quandary has very little to do with being is gay, it has everything to do with hypocrisy. The only irony I see is that he vehemently attacked gay rights and failed to look in the mirror.

The other issue is that he did it in a public place. I don't care what people do in their bedroom, but a public bathroom is not the place to get a ********, gay or straight.

Just a giant GOP smear tactic! Just like the rest of the democrat lead political witch hunts against republicans.

Are you suggesting that Senator Craig was gay or a gay rights activist, I am pretty sure he is just a pervert. Irony. Don't see it. What I do see is what happens when someone is unable to express his sexuality whatever it is. It is just sad.

Methinks the "mud slinging" you're complaining about- has MORE to do with Craigs hypocracy- than anything Ironic about his situation...
