Not any longer. I have transcribed all 300 some odd cookbooks I used to have into my Master Cook program and I have an additional 1000 cookbooks loaded on the hard drive of my laptop. I go south in the winter and it's easier to carry the laptop than several hundred pounds of paper cookbooks

Ah, yes, I do own a number of cookbooks.

I am a collector, however, I have been known to give them away by the box full.

At one time, I had cookbooks from as far back as 1898. Did you know that the school lunch program started in 1916, and I had a cookbook that they used for them. Alas, it's gone now, but I still remember the recipes. Not at all like the ones they use for their soups today!

I have all the cookbooks I inherited from my mother...must be close to a hundred. I only crack them open when I am tackling a recipe that I haven't made in awhile, or something I've never made before (which is very rare).

Of course, I also have all my Mom's favourite recipes on index cards that she wrote down....my sister wanted to take them after the funeral and I told her what she could do with herself. I let her take copies though.

I have an entire cupboard (3 shelves) devoted to cookbooks. I pared down about 6 years ago, but I still love them and love to use them. I don't necessarily consider myself a good cook, but I know how to buy good cookbooks and follow the directions. Shhhh, it's my best-kept secret.

I have a whole shelf of cookbooks, and people are constantly giving me more, because they know I love to cook. I give away a whole box of cookbooks every year to the charity thrift store, but my own shelf never gets empty.

Yes. I own several (Low Fat Cooking for Dummies, Paula Deen, etc.) but the main one that gets used most of the time is my mom's old Betty Crocker cook book from the 1960s. It really is raggedy, but still better than the newer ones.

We ask an array of questions here so your question is acceptable.
