Is there any chance of getting more Indians and Pakistanis into yahoo forums?

The Yahoo forum called Will We survive The Next 100 Years needs greater imput from other cultures.We have to get your points of view in forums like that.You can contribute.

Gandhi tried desperately to make muslim and hindu factions live together in peace and tolerance.

There is a cultural issue both outside of and within each respective nationality.

Both have strict social structures which are so rigid and unyielding that it would be impossible for each group to allow or tolerate one to deviate and actually respect the counterparts in the other group.

This religious and social division is so chronic and enduring, that it is nearly impossible to see a modern India and Pakistan rise up from ancient, midievel roots and rivalries to be cooperative in the grander scheme of things.

Most of the animosity is fueled by extremism and an unwilling few who dominate the rest of the sheep in their respective camps.

Sad. Isn't it?

People who are essentially sharing land spill blood and hate each other.

Their respective enemies profit from their own struggle. By keeping the two divided and constantly in tension, both sides are conquered by larger, dominant groups who wish to control them for political-economic reasons unrelated to their (Inidi/Pakistani) own struggles.

Its the way of the world. The difference between Catholics and Protestants. Jews and Christians. Muslims and just about everyone else except their flavor of islam, which ever one that is today.

Oh well! I stopped drinking a long time ago. Maybe its time to start again.
