Its a coping mechanism - She is mad because its the only way she can probably cope. Anger can mask disappointment or disapproval. Don't feel bad, its probably a real shock to the system and time will heal her pain and the fact that she knows is better than not - hiding it is harder! Do you have a friend you can talk to about it? The biggest to remember is that she is only checking up on you because she cares! Hang in there - talk to people who know, who care, who wont judge you. Most importantly just be yourself!

I would just sit her down and talk to her. Let her know how you feel. Parents usually r a little defensive and awkward towards their children when they find out. But it does take them time to come around. Honestly i think it is because it is not what they hoped for there childrens futures

You two need to sit down and talk about what being gay means to you. Find out what her concerns are and reassure her that you are happy being who you are.

She is your mother and you're her child...I think she is being a good mother because she care for you but you also have a right to decide for yourself so you and your mother need to have a rasional talk...tell her what you think and listen to what she have to say if she love you then she'll love you for who you are...She is your mother afterall...

Well since she is right - yell her she is right. That way you can talk about it. She is probably worried about you and doesn't know what to say or do. Start a conversation....

It looks like it will take your mom awhile to accept that. Be patient, and try to say the right things at the right time. ;)

Just tell her that you ARE gay. That should clear things up.

Well, if you are, have a heart-to-heart and tell her. It will relieve alot off of your shoulders and if she is a good mother, she will love you unconditionally.

suck it up till you get out of the house and don't fall into any of the gay stereotypes that make her say 'I told you so'.
