At one time, I believe the US was making bills as high as $5,000. For years though, the highest bill made is the $100.

The highest bill ever made was the $100,000 bill, with Woodrow Wilson on it. It's no longer made, as they stopped circulation a long time ago.

At one time there were 100,00.00 bills used between banks-1000.00 went the same way--500.00 are rare --mostly 100.00
bill now days!
