My convict cichlids just had about 200 babies what do I do now? Can I sell them to a pet store once they are big enough?

Congrats

Yes you can, just ask at your petstores if they would take them and how old they would need to be, they may ask you to show them some as well before they say yes

Hope that helps
Good luck

You can try them at the pet store yes, however, Convicts are a fish you almost want to stop breeding because it's just that easy. Their value is so low don't look at bringing them to the store for money. You can post an ad locally if you want to give some away and if you have bigger fish you can try putting the fry in as a food source. I'd also consider seperating the mom and dad as this won't be the first time they spawn like that.

There's a batch! Congrats, I know of many convict owners who have the same problem, they usually find a home for the babies to go to, be it the pet store, or a friend, the remaining babies are fed to the larger fish.

If you have other fish in the tank, you need to seperate them. You could use some screen. And yes most pet stores will buy them at any age, once they are born they don't need their mom anymore. Half of them probably won't survive though cause thats usually the way it works, thats why they have so many.

Let the adults eat them if the petstore won't accept them! lol!

No, seriously. If your local petstores won't accept them, then let the adult fish eat the babies. It's the easiest and quickest way, and plus, it's what they do in nature!

Hope this helps!
Good luck!
