Yes, you can have some money. The vendors will give it to you when you trade them something you have. They are very generous with their money. I doubt they will pay top dollar for your wears, however, they never run out and will continue to give you their money.
If you give enough you should have all the money you need in no time.

ok i have about way over 500k and i just started making money by mining and mining so plz just work for it instead of begging if you beg on runescape you probably beg in real life to lol!

I once got 24K from someone without even asking. he came up to me and gave it to me. But you should sell wet clay for a couple thousand a piece. that stuff is tedious to make but members will pay anything for it!

merchant, start with like flax or sumtin then do god armor and barrows
