Because you are very lucky! I dropped a glass and cut my foot and it gushed alot of blood. I also had the glass hit very close to the big arterie on the top of my foot that goes down to the big toe... Maybe the glass didn't hit any veins or arteries and that is why it didn't bleed much.

It cut into the meat of your leg but missed arteries and veins. You're very fortunate.

The thing about glass is that a sliver could still be in there. You need to get that wound irrigated with about 2 liters of saline solution. You do NOT want it healing up with a glass sliver inside you.

Some wounds just do not bleed a whole lot. Nonetheless, if the cut is deep, you should probably get stitches.

It may have clotted fast, or there is still some glass in there keeping the blood from releasing

The glass may not have ruptured any major blood vessels.

I would assume because it didn't rupture any major blood vessels. Or perhaps you have very good platlets that stopped the bleeding quickly.

i had the same situation a couple years ago with my arm. i'm not exactly sure why it doesn't bleed sometimes, but if its that deep you need to go get stitches regardless.

You may have extremely thick blood also known as Hypercoagulability.
