This rumor has not been comfirmed yet. Let's not start to draw conclusions on our own shall we? His recent on going stint at the hospital could have been caused by a number of things, and yes suicide one of them. Let's respect his privacy, only time will answer these questions.

He hasn't come out and admitted to trying to commit suicide. The tabloids are the ones saying that he attempted suicide.

He had a bad drug addiction and that's supposedly why Kate left him. Yes, he did attempt suicide by cutting his wrists and something else too which I would assume was a drug overdose, but I'm not positive.
