well media markets.. Pac-10 has the west coast including LA, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland etc.. and the Big 10 has the north East really with the teams scattered from Missouri to Pennsylvania.. also look who the ESPN analysts are.. Herbstriet was a QB for who? Ohio State.. and Corso was a Big East Coach.. Fowler isn't a football guy but graduated in Big12 country so the blatant disregard for SEC ball is obvious.. still can't understand they're obsession with USC other than they HAVE to due to ratings in LA

to Sok C.. put the pipe down.. you obviously know NOTHING.. SEC ball has been a powerhouse in football since the 1890's when football was created.. oh here's you a fact to help you understand.. John Heisman (recognize the name?) was head coach at Auburn in the early 1900's.. Auburn and LSU dominated the 50's.. the 60's and 70's belonged to Alabama 80's was all about Georgia.. and the 90's were Steve Spurrier.. so to say SEC is "recent success" is just moronic

The attention has little to do with ratings ESPN has a contract with the Big Ten and the only reason the Pac 10 gets attention is because the elite program of college football, USC, plays there. You don't see Arizona State-Washington State highlights.

It really does have to do with quality, when it comes to the Pac 10. The only teams that really get mentioned are USC and Cal (occasionally). You have to respect what Pete Caroll has done with that program. It is a recruiting juggernaut.

Remember last year was suppose to be a re-building year for the Trojans and they cam close to playing for the championship.

Prior to their recent success ESPN was not giving USC the time of day. So there isn't anything nefarious about it. ESPN has to cover the top programs.

Well SEC fan like you Redman want to hype up the conference like no other. And SEC fans in this site hype the SEC, like it the best thing since slice bread but the Medias like ESPN or Fox Sport like to hype the BIG 10 and the Pac 10 because these school gets the rating for them. Plus these team in the BIG 10 and the PAC 10 like USC are traditional power that goes back a century of winning National Championship and winning major bowl games and the SEC is what, just recent success. Can you tell me what school in the SEC, tradition that goes back a century of winning national titles and major bowl games, not many huh. Remember these BIG 10 and PAC 10 school some of them win like 10 national titles or more each what SEC team that win 10 national titles beside Alabama. Plus USC , Ohio St. and Michigan are more popular team than the SEC team can produce right now.

Its all about money, prestige, and # of fans. I think they are finally starting to realize that the SEC is the s h i t. About time the Tigers and Saints start getting respect.
