The sad thing is that most of those people will be dead in the next 10 years. If more was done to keep drugs out of the streets, this wouldn't happen as often as this does. Most of those people aren't as old as they look, but drugs and addiction have robbed them of their youth. All we can say is God bless them and help them to come clean and get their life back on the right track before it is too late.

If anyone is wondering about the sores and scars in the faces of the Meth users, its caused by an anxiety disorder called Dermatillomania (sp). It causes one to pick their skin to relieve anxiety. Scientists don't know what part of the brain is activated by drug use to cause a person to do this yet, but they are working on it.
Some meth and heroine addicts will also exhibit trichtotillimania (sp), which is hair pulling. They will pull their hair out, one strand at a time, to ease anxiety caused by the drugs.
Please be aware that just because someone is exhibiting signs of "hair pulling" and "skin picking" does NOT mean they are doing drugs. These anxiety disorders also manifest in people who have never seen an illegal drug. If scientists can locate the area of the brain that causes this in drug users, they can offer help to non drug users who suffer from this terrible anxiety disorder too.

WOW, it's actually really sad....I just should it to my 11 year old so she can see how horrible ALL drugs are and that life is way too precious to throw it away. I hurt for those people...I feel sad too because that's exactly what my soon to be future sister-in-law will look like while my brother raises their 3 babies on his own. God Bless!

Don't you just hate those 'pick' marks they get when the meth starts oozing out their pores and they can't stop scratching. At the same time they usually can't stop masturbating sometimes for hours on end without results.
