Two point charges lie on the x axis. A charge of +6.2 microC is at the origin, and a charge of -9.5 microC is at x = 10.0 cm. What is the net electric field at (a) x = -4.0 cm and at (b) x = +4.0 cm?

Thanks :)

at x = -4 cm
kQ1/(0.04)^2 - kQ2/(0.14)^2
make sure to get micro C straight. If you don't convert to C your result will be in micro V/M or micro N/C which is the same thing.
at x= 4 cm:
kQ1/(0.04)^2 + kQ2/(0.06)^2
