It shows what that arm of the republican party is all about. Look at the responder above. They are one step away from Taliban laws.

Bigots are cowards by nature so it primarily shows how many cowards live there.

Look at the ill informed who do not realize the following:

"Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" is one of the most famous phrases in the United States Declaration of Independence. These three aspects are listed among the "unalienable rights" of man.

No matter how people vote, we have the 14th Amendment that makes any vote on this issue moot. I don't think it's a conservative issue per se (and I am a liberal) but a historically racist issue. Conservatism in itself is not racist although it often spawns adherents who use the once respectable title of conservative to spout racist crap. Just like the likes of Sean Penn and Cindy Sheehan are poster children for the liberal hating crowd.

People don't *have* to like interracial marriages if they choose not to. That is why it is called "personal choice".

However, a ban against such marriages in Alabama is pointless, since Alabama recognizes marriage unions performed in other states.

Tower of Babel don't you know?

That Bob Jones University Bush visited in 2000 had rules against interracial dating and it was based on that story.

Racists have also used other stories in the Bible to oppose it.

We the people, by the people and for the people.

If that is what Alabamans want, they have a right to vote that way for their state laws! I don't agree with with the ban, but it seems many people there do!
