My husband and I go to bed at 11 on the night before work-days, and he gets up at 6:40 ... I try to sleep until 7 or later, but I usually sit up reading for an hour or three (I go to sleep between 11:45-2:45 ... I LOVE to read) ...
To find out the 'best time' for you to go to bed, work 'backward' from the best time to wake up for you. How long does it take you to 'get ready' for work or school (including eating breakfast, having a cup of coffee, and just 'waking up' fully) ... give yourself AT LEAST 7 hours, and 8 if you aren't getting 'enough' sleep.
Start 'getting ready' for bed fully an hour BEFORE bedtime ... and get into a 'regular routine' ... take a long bath or shower, use lavender soap or put 'lavender' oil on your bedside lamp (lavender helps you relax and fall asleep easily) ... then read a 'quiet' book (it should be 'relaxing' if you have trouble getting to sleep) ...
If you must get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, DO NOT turn on the 'bright lights' ... use a 'pen-light' or a 'low night light' if you must, or just 'feel your way' if the room is close enough. The bright lights will 'wake you up fully and make it harder to get back to sleep.
Also make sure that your bedroom has 'really dark-making curtains' ... especially in the summer, when it stays light out later, and gets light out earlier, so you don't have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep because of the 'light.'
Good luck ... it's difficult but you CAN do it ... just remember keep a 'good routine' that helps you 'relax' for an hour before bedtime and you should sleep well and go to sleep more quickly ...

In bed by 10:30-11pm watch TV with timer set for 30 minutes. When the TV goes off I have to sleep, I'm relaxed and ready for my Zzzz's. I wake around 6am. If you're having trouble sleeping try not to eat or drink caffinated beverages after 6pm. GoodLuck & Sweet Dreams

I sleep when my eyes close, i wake up when my eyes open :P
but the best time to sleep is following the sun, when the sun is off, sleep .
and dont sleep too much because this may ruin your day and make u lazy and depressed wishing the day ends and u sleep again, always try to wake up with an alarm clock, sleeping on 22:00 and setting the alaram clock to 8:00 is a good deal
