How pathetic is YOUR life, if you're sitting online posting random, meaningless questions to total strangers?

About as pathetic as yours for sitting online asking a random, meaningless question to total strangers.

Well, I'm supposed to be hanging my new bulletin board over my computer monitor, but I don't want to have to get the little step stool and stand funny so I'm thinking maybe I'll just let my husband do it when he gets home, but as long as I'm here ...
Okay, I really DO have a 'life' ... and PART of that life is coming to Y!A and answering questions. It's not a 'waste of time' and the questions I answer are not (usually) random or meaningless ... I answer questions about psychology (many people want help but don't know where to start), recipes (I'm a long time 'cook' and my husband is a chef and we are both 'real foodies'), pets ... dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, and hedgehogs ... and rats, and rabbits ... , and then OCCASIONALLY I'll answer a question from a wiseacre like you. I may not have a 'really busy' life, but just think of it this way ... I took time out to answer YOUR question ... even though it was 'rude' to me and the others who come to this site for WHATEVER reason.

I'd say about as pathetic as a person who is also on-line asking meaningless questions of total strangers.

How pathetic is YOUR life, asking random meaningless questions for strangers?

In reaction to your criticism, it would be easy to be baited into responded on the level that you intended. However, I'm glad you asked that question. It's actually an inspiring question.

I think that everyone who answers questions on this website is not pathetic at all. In fact, it's a rewarding, inspiring and positive experience writing to strangers when they ask for help. It gives me opportunities to be inspired to write.

Did you know that when you write, no matter what you write, that you improve your communication skills? You also confirm your ideologies, learn about yourself (and others) practice the art of writing, and you learn about computers as well. If you wrote a description of a tree on fifty occasions, by the time you got to the fiftieth rewriting, your description would be a thousand times better than the first time.

In other words, writing to strangers on this web site helps you as much as you might hope you help someone else. Imagine someone on the edge of their life, or starting college for the first time, being abused or learning a hard lesson, and they write in asking for help. You could save a life or make a real difference in that person's life with encouragement or advice.

The fact that it we are strangers makes it easier for people to confide, to ask questions. It makes it easier to answer questions as well.

So my life, and the lives of others on this forum is not pathetic at all. Try it and let the proof have its way with you.

Honey, there are a lot more pathetic people then on yahoo answers - these are ppl who obviously are seeking help in some form or fashion - not meaningless questions. And people who like helping others and giving advice. If you want to downgrade that - so be it loser. Get real!

May be I have no arms or legs, so I fine this a way to be use full: or am I a mes sager from GOD, or do I like to be help full. My life is pretty full; 17 children, 5 grandsons, but still I spend time with you two hours a week.
Now think about this; if you think I am pathetic, how pathetic are you for asking?

I guess just about as pathetic as yours, since you're the one asking random, meaningless questions to total strangers, huh?

Just as pathetic as the life of those asking asinine, meaningless, random questions? Sound familiar?
