Girl, I am a mexicana tambien and let me tell you what, I am not ashamed of being able to speak, write, and understand spanish, I am ashamed of those hispanics out there that front as if they are full blooded but do not know a lick of spanish. Never be ashamed of what or who you are, just focus on how you can be better!! You are already better off then those that only know one language. FEEL PROUD!

Of course not. Be proud! You speak at least 2 languages and come from a very family-oriented culture. Not only do you have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, but how many of us can speak at least 2 languages? While many people can, the average person only speaks their native tongue. Be proud!

If you're ashamed of yourself and your race, then you desperately need to speak with an adult (parent, guardian, teacher, school counselor, etc), as you have self-image problems.
Buena suerta! (Good Luck!)

Of course not, you should be proud. What kind of question is that? Are you fishing for compliments or what?
