Serioulsy... so what if she mis-understood the question? Or even if she is as dumb as her answer sounded. She was in a competition which puts an emphasis on beauty not brain, no mater if the prize includes a scholarship (which was for an ACTING SCHOOL not harvard law!) Give this girl a break, or is the USA trying to force her into suicide?

tell me what you think....

I agree with you. Seems the media has found a minor screw up to be worthy of National attention. I do not understand why anyone would be jumping on this poor girl. I'm sure she feels like crap without their help.

I'm not hard on her. I have never seen her but she sounds beautiful enough to win competitions. Isn't that great. Beauty and if she studies hard she will have brains. That's what my Aunt Samantha used to say. She should know because she won some beauty contests when she was young. (I daren't tell he but nowadays you can't really see how should could have won! But she did and that's an achievement.)

So hats off to Miss Teen NC. Well done. It's beautiful that you are beautiful. And if someone says the opposite you know they are probably ugly and probably old. Ugh!

I think that the media is being way to hard on her. Actually she gave as good an answer as our Pres. often does and don't forget Tony Snow's answer when he was asked why the Iraq Parliament was taking the month of Aug. off "well you have to realize that the temperature in Iraq is 130 degrees in Aug."??? She may go a long why in politics.

If those pageants are based on beauty, why do they even have questions. It should be like the Westminster Kennel Show then. There is no talent competition in the dog show.

She is dumb as a rock and shouldn't be put up on a pedestal, as a role model, for it.

I don't think they're being hard on her, if anything they are laughing at her expense, since she managed to prove the question asked of her to be ironically correct. I feel bad for her, but if you choose to be in a pageant that requires some intelligence, then she should have known her intelligence would be questioned.

Some people like putting down those who they feel have greater physical beauty.
