It has to be a team with a fan base no matter the venue and - I go by what I see at Jacobs Field and a couple other MLB parks - the New York Yankees.

Yankees may have 26 championships, but they haven't won since 2000.
I would say that America's team might involve 1 of 3 teams...
San Antonio Spurs 3 rings in 4 years and this last year!
University of Florida back to back football championsips and back to back basketball championships in 2006 and 2007.
