I can only guess she was rich when she married or her husband is deaf?

I think Judge Judy is very "judgemental". She is crass and mean and sometimes unneccesarily and unusualy cruel. I will watch her in the mornings though, to help me wake up. That voice of hers! Argh! *4U! By the way, although she WAS married her husband (also a judge) cheated on her - it was all over the tabloids and everyone in NY was gossiping about it (according to the tabloids) and she was sooo embarrassed. She is now divorced. A friend of mine who knows her told me this.

lol deaf..even if she was rich would it be worth it? I can't watch the show either, they don't make ear plugs effective enuff. Can u not get hard time for having an irritating voice?

14 years, 3 months, 17 days, 5 hours. If you watch it as a Marathon though, 3 days, 6 hours, 5 minutes, you will then go and kill a small Korean family running a delicatessen in Queens!

I do not think she was rich when she was married; she was a Family Court judge-and I think her husband was a judge in that field, as well.
But, if you think that her voice is annoying, how about Dr. Phil? His voice is real annoying.

Not only the voice, but the mean look on her face, glaring at people all the time. What a cynical and cruel person she is.

Her Husband had a show either just before or during the beginning of hers. Judge Jerry Scheidling, I figured she used her supper annoying voice and charmless banter to make him quit so she got more attention. I don't really know...but she is the devil, she has to be. In closing my favorite quote of hers... " BOLOGNA SIR!"

When she doesn't let the defendant talk she gets a little irritating but i still watch that show.
