Blacks get jobs the can't do and don't deserve because of idiotic affirmative action laws. So the people that "can" are held back by the people who "never will."

Depending on what sort of workplace you are thinking of…but from my experiences I have worked in a retail department and been focused on more for poverty and convictions of stealing just because I am a mexicana. And I am not dirty, I practically dress like a preppy white girl, but I was called in security many times for stuff gone missing and was told that I didn’t have to worry about proper attire because they understood my living situation. Man too many times I came a penny away from sueing this department store! But instead I became the manager of the Men’s Department. Imagine that…poor stealing Mexicana! :)

A work place should have a diverse work force in order to be competitive. The work place is where most of us learn, teach, contribute and socialize. Those that discriminate are one-dimensional thinkers and their prejudices could affect profits, sales, morale, productivity, loss of employees, loss of existing or new customers. Globalization requires a diverse workforce that have multi-dimensional thinkers that work together and accept those that are different. Diversity in a workplace teaches patience, acceptance, and teamwork. A well diverse company that has "no tolerance" clause for discrimination can add to its company's profits, sales and most of all loyal and happy employees.

How does racial discrimination affect workers in the workplace???
Well that's somethin' I have to think about, well being of the African American race. Um... it puts you done and affects your work by not giving it your best or giving good quality of whatever you're doing. And yoou just don't feel like you're equal like everyone else is and that jus puts donw your whole mood.
hope it helpd

They may not get the full raise, They have to work twice as hard to be almost as good, but never will be as good even if they out perform others, are passed up for promotions, blamed for all failures weather they had any thing to do with it or not.

The same as it affects people who aren't at work. I find it intolerable, to say the least, and when people make racist comments around me, I always say something to let them know how "dark ages" they think. Not insulting, not in a manner that embarrasses them, either. Just telling them it's a waste of time to want to hate someone for their color.

It helps to promote workers who will actually come to work every day and also those less likely to steal or do drugs.
