Almost every Beatles song is basic chords that you learn when you first start out. Ive just seen a face, We Can Work It Out, While My guitar Gently Weeps, just to name a few :D. Fall Out Boy and that kind of stuff is all simple two note chords, try A Little Less Sixteen Candles, but do the rythm parts. Blitzkrieg Bop by the Ramones is so simple, that song goes Hey Ho Lets Go, I Wanna Be Sedated is an easy song by them too, that one has like four chords though. I would try to play harder stuff though, like Metallica, because it can only make you better.

Anything by The Ramones. They're not exactly popular, but when it comes to simple three chord guitar songs, Johnny Ramone really knows how to play. The thing is they're played repeatedly at high speeds.

Nirvana 'Come as u are' cms easy 2me though havent tried yet.

I started with beatles. i hate them, but somebody got me a complete book with all their songs. I foud it more entertaining to play the medium-harder songs than those with just a couple of cords. those were boring.

If u dont oush urself u wont improve. try harder than that. maybe in the beg doesnt sound great, but with perseverance u can play well any song u want.

You can reduce almost any song to 3 chords - you just have to change the phrasing of the song a bit

When I was first learning Credence Clearwater was the way to go. Of course that was a long time ago but they still rock. mostly C, D , F,& G chords.
