"I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don't have maps and uh, I believe that our, ah, education like such as in South Africa, and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uh, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., or should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for our children."

I cant get enough. I am a crackhead, but for this video. Who is with me?

Good thing that girl is hott,

Anyways to answer your question, I believe that 1/5th of American's can't locate the US on a world map because a lot of Americans are little kids who haven't been to school yet, also I'm sure there are people out there who haven't had the benefit of receiving a good education such as Miss Teen South Carolina.

According to National Geographic's survey in 2006, 94% of Americans can locate the US on a map.

On the other hand, only 19% actually own a world map and only 15% own a globe. 22% own no maps other than a local street map.

Her answer is clearly correct. The knowledge is there. If Americans can't locate the US on a map, it's because they don't have a map.

I have not seen a globe/world map in 10 years and i can still locate it. I think that. There are a lot of reasons why someone would not be able to locate it. Maybe they didn't go to school long enough to learn that. A lot of elderly people did not make it out of elementary. illegal immigrants, blind people, mentally handicapped

How many Americans are under 7 or 8 and are elderly with some sort of mental handicap (dementia, altzhemeiers(sic))

Not even remotely possible, where did those numbers come from.

They must have asked 5 people in Lillian Alabama and called it a day.

Chris Johnson and Tyrone Williams asked the same question. You should read their answers side by side.

I have no idea what your trying to say here, but I'm pretty sure if 1/5th of the population of America couldn't find it on a world map, its likely they are children or imigrants.

Wisenheimer has it 200% CORRECT when he says:

>"America's education system (since it was taken over by the federal government / world bankers) is literally designed to make us dumber. It works!"<

I couldn't have said it better, myself!!!
