Bad people go to hell. Being gay doesn't make a person bad any more than being straight makes a person good.

People are afraid of what they can't understand.
You are a good person, and fully accepting of homosexuality, but some bad people think that you, me, and all of us who are gay or accept gays are going to hell because being gay is "against nature".
In reality, there are dolphins who mate with other male dolphins and I've heard that there are gay penguins who instead of an egg use a rock, and when given an egg, hatched and raised a perfectly normal penguin.
They say that God said it was wrong to be gay, but Jesus himself never addresses the topic, only books of the old testament. Most of the rules in these books were ethical at the time, it was hard to maintain a stable population, and for that sake if men are having sex it should be with a woman hoping to have her concieve, and vice versa.
In modern times, we do not have that problem of course, but some fundies who are afraid of the idea of two men being in love bring up these old rules, which were written for Jews and that's it.
In a phsycological sense, it stems from an inner sexism. One of the two men might take the "female" role, which would be regaurded by some as un-manly and bad, subconsciously of course. Most gay haters will speak of how it is wrong for two men to be together, they address lesbianism a bit less, and in some places it was only illegal for males.
Overall, this crap comes from bigots who hump their bibles and expect their wives to stay home and cook and clean, etc, etc. If we are indeed going to hell, who cares? It's going to be a party without those losers around.

I'm with you. Being gay is genetic. It has nothing to do with choice. How can you choose to not be who you are at the most fundamental level? I can't choose to change my eye color, or how many toes I have. And God's just fine with me exactly as I am.
I think the idea of "being gay" really scares some people, so they act out inappropriately toward the symbol of their fear. Gays have been around, near as I can tell from history, almost as long as humans have. If there was something to fear, I think it would have happened long ago.
I wish everyone would just realize that we're all human - no more, and no less. We all have the same thoughts and feelings and needs - and we'd all like to be treated with respect.

No more than straight people, rich people, poor people, educated and non-educated people, married or single people, fat or thin people etc etc after all god is no respecter of persons .
And where is hell anyway how does anyone know if there is even such a place. Seems to me Shakespeare had it sensibly figured out when he stated "Hell is empty all the devils are here."
Conditions around our planet would indicate hell is right here; among us.
With that in mind, Heaven could exist on earth if people made it so.

I think most gay people go to San Francisco at some point. I heard there is a Hell in North Dakota, or mebbe it was New Mexico, I don't know what the ratio of gay to straight folks there would be, but I'm bettin its the same as everywhere else, except maybe San Francisco. I wanna know where all the hot single women go?!? I'd choose to go there then, if that's wrong, I don't wanna be right! ;-)

first you are wrong, people are not born gay! that is a lame excuse that certain people want others to believe so they will accept their gay agenda! people may be born with a tendency to drink or smoke or many things, however it is still your choice if you become a drunk or a drug addict or a homosexual just because your thoughts dwell upon those things.read your bible GOD does not change!!! the same GOD whom destroyed SODOM and GOMORRAH because of the rampant homosexuality way back when will do the same in the end!!! they are like any other sinner the only ones who will be in Heaven are the ones who turned from their life of sin and asked GOD for forgiveness and did not do those things anymore!!! nothing is too hard for the LORD!! AMEN!

You are clearly a young person who knows how to think reasonably and logically. Keep it up. Those wacky people who are so "self righteous" they know exaaaaactly who is "going to hell" are, well, what shall I say... MORE than just a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic. You don't need anybody to clear the issue up for you. You have done great job by yourself using your own excellent powers of reasoning - far more than those loud-mouthed "hellmongers" will ever have.

When you are saved and believe Jesus as your Lord and Savior and know, live ,and read God's Holy word you know living in such a manner is sinful.
There is no plant life in Sodom and Gomorrah. The people did not change their ways living in sin, they were warned and God cast sulfur in these towns. What is important is I know where I'm going. The difference is I admit I am a sinner and ask for forgiveness daily. Life isn't relevant, do what feels good, do what you want, we pay for our sin and the choice is Heaven with Our Father or eternal Hell with Satan. I'm going to a better place than here.

Bear with me, here - I don't believe this any more than you do. The Bible finds both the act of homosexual sex and the thought of homosexuality (or inclination towards homosexuality) to be a sin - an abomination, in fact. And yet, nowhere does Yahweh say that it precludes you from going to heaven. When I was still a Christian, I would have earnestly told you that homosexuality was just like wrath or pride - a sin, but it wouldn't keep you from heaven.

They don't go to hell. Fundamentalist claim they do, but they're idiots.
I understand about sins like theft, murder, adultery, but loving someone of the same gender?? It just doesn't make any sense when people say gays go to hell because there's nothing wrong with it. God is love, gays loves members of the same sex, simple as that :)
