He admitted to committing a crime. He spied on someone in a bathroom stall and gave commonly accepted hand signals indicating that he wanted sex from that person. When it was denied, he didn't go away - he kept insisting.

At the very least... he watched someone else peeing. Isn't that sick and twisted enough for you to stop being so defensive about him? Can't even ONE of you say, "Oh, my God, thats disgusting; that man has nothing to do with me or my party and I will not defend him"?

Do you ALWAYS have to protect CONVICTED criminals in your party????

Sangria: I couldn't possibly agree more. People in this country treat politics like a game, and it's too important to be dismissed that way.

Seriously! This is what is wrong with America! Everyone has to take a side and defend it to death. Well, wake-the-hell-up people! This isn't a freaking football game it's real life and the sickening underbelly of politics.

The Democratic Party is not absolved from crimes either! You will not find ME defending any of Clinton's lies or condoning the fact he had an extramarital affair. At the same time, however, how many criminal Democrats are accused of such heinously sexual crimes as Republicans have faced in the last decade? There's a serious problem here and will continue to be that way until the partisans stop defending and/or ignoring this kind of behavior.

My two cents? This is what happens when a political party, in this case the Republicans, become the predominate voice for "what is moral" in America. If this is "Republican Morality", I'll pass!

ummm first i have not heard any one defending him. Personally I think he was an idiot for putting himself in that situation and should accept the consequences.

Secondly, if you really want to point the dirty end of the stick at some one could I remind you of one democratic politician by the name of Gerry Studds? Who is Gerry Studds you may ask... well he was a Democratic Congressman who had sexual relations with a number of underage male Congressional pages back in the late 70's early 80's. At one point he even took one of these pages out of the country to have sex with him.

Now you would think something as atrocious as having sex with an underage boy would be enough to get him kicked out of Congress or arrested... But it wasn't, Gerry Studds was re-elected to congress and lauded as a hero and a victim...

Funny, Republicans resign when faced with embarrassing situations... it seems Democrats herald the person as a hero and re-elect them... even if they are pedophiles... Because I doubt very many Republicans were defending Gerry Studds.

So let me ask... whats worse, being stupid and asking for sex in a men's room or having sex with underage boys?

whats a more reasonable outcome... resigning in disgrace or being re-elected?

seems to me that your side of the fence is just as dirty and fouled up as my side of the fence, but my side is better at getting rid of the weeds.

Most of our convicted criminals resign or are arrested. Craig will likely step down voluntarily, unlike so many of your leaders (does not Bill Clinton come to mind?).

What about your convicted criminals? William Jefferson is still in Congress claiming he was participating in an FBI sting operation, which is why he had $90,000 in cash in his freezer. When I worked for law enforcement, we certainly did not give our participants cash to hide in their house. Yet you keep him in.

Nancy Pelosi violated the Constitution by allying with Syria and sticking Israel with a deal they did not want to make and she remains the Speaker of the House. Talk about rewarding bad behavior.

Barney Frank is an openly gay pedophile who targets House paiges and takes them to Portugal on government expense and yet you give him the chairmanship of the House Banking Committee.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! The problem liberals have is hypocrisy. Sexual deviance is encouraged and rewarded when a Democrat does it, but not a Republican!

it just goes to show you that conservatives that pretend to stand on morals and principals have no credibility. they are hypocrites when they deny wrongdoing by the republican party but insist on accountability from the democrats.
