Is there a fine print that says that a small fee will be added to the bill. I use earthlink and they have security packages that you have to subscribe to, for a monthly fee. Of course i don't use it i would rather go with a full subscription

They have downloadable software that is free to subscribers, yes. Head to verizon.net for more information.
