I need to find carnival/comical (almost Three stooges like) music from the 1890s to about the mid 1900s. I need it for a play for my school.

If you can figure out the names of some composers or titles of songs and compilations you can try looking on Limewire or iTunes.

Yahoo has Three Stooges CDs with music... not sure if that's really what you're looking for.

You may want to investigate the music from Charliw Chaplin and Buster Keaton films. Amazon has some sample clips.

A song called "The Entertainer" might work for you, you can make it comical...

Good lucK!

Have you tried going to a party store and seeing if they have a compilation CD of music, by some unknown artist? If they have a CD playing, then there you go!

Also, how long of this music do you need? On some keyboards, you can press a button, and music plays automatically- a sound effect.

You could do a search engine query on the internet- just type "1890s music" and see what you come up with- titles and artists from that period will pop up. You could also do a search on Coney Island amusement park in New York- maybe you will find a video documentary, and see at the end credits what song was playing.
