If you live in southern Calif, Arizona, south Texas, and Florida....yes. These are tropical plants and absolutely do not like cold weather. So if you put in sizeable plants now, not tiny little guys, there's a chance you'll get eggplants before cold weather creeps in. They need 90 plus days of temps above 45-50 as their coldest.

It does depend on where you live. If you live in a warm, temperate zone, then yes. If you have cold winters, you will have no luck.
