She will not choose Obama, even though many people might like that. The fact that she is a woman will be seen as dangerous, and as a potential liability. Her strategists will worry that this will ultimately turn off a certain number of voters. Therefore, she will choose a politically safe VP running mate like Joe Biden, or possibly John Edwards. Edwards is 50/50. He is a southerner, which is a plus, but he also lost before, which will not work in his favor.

In any case, expect her to choose a 'safe' candidate. It will be a male, and not a member of any racial or religious minority.

But its too bad, because I think a Clinon-Obama ticket would be fantastic. It might energize the voters.

I disagree. No matter how comfortable we are with our 'running mate' idea, we forget to realize that the oval office is a job that requires balance. A Hillary-Obama combo would tip the scale too far to the left, and not represent the voters who voted contrarily (a large portion of the population, by the way).

I believe it would be better to pick a moderate, moderate democrat, or moderate republican, or even a not-too republican conservative. This would help represent the other half of the population who would have voted against her (say if she were to choose Rudy Giuliani).

In fact, Abraham Lincoln himself chose this route.

If Hillary is the candidate and if she chose Obama, I hope he wouldn't take it. He's better than that. Obama is an honest person and I don't think he should cave in.

Hillary will probably be the Democratic nominee and she might be the next president with the help of Bill. Frankly, I don't like her. She's too political--rows to the left and then rows to the right. I want someone more honest as the next nominee.

Obama is young, he is a Senator. He has time to wait it out until the next presidential election and become a senior senator in the meantime.

I think John Edwards would be a good choice, but I don't think he will take second place because he and Elizabeth have gone for being honest, straightforward, and decent.

I think Hillary will choose a nobody. After all, she doesn't want a Dick Cheney.

I could see Edwards... but the reason I think she WILL pick Obama is because there are so many fringe voters that come with him as VP.. I think in the end she'll gain more votes than she loses by doing that.

I think she will choose someone the country doesn't like so she won't have to worry about assassination attempts.
