I think a lot of the popular surveys have no relationship to scientific sampling. They just collect answers whether those are representative of the population or not.
Maybe they asked in the White House where only certain views are tolerated among employees.

I remember when I found out last year. I was like "No way!" as well. After seeing some of the examples I can do is either laugh or face-palm in disbelief.

everyone needs something to believe in and it just so happens that america has the highest percentage of religious people the world over with something like 80% of the population bieng part of one religion or another, me i believe in lots of things i do read a bible (heat magazine) and i believe in the restoration of happiness through chocolate (it all seems better after a cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit) and finally i have faith in myself to be the best person i can be, other people need faith in other things and if they want to put their faith in god who are you to judge

No this question is...so we just all happened by accident...Don't worry God still loves you...and one day maybe you can evolve into an observant person and realize than all of this could not have just happened...Start with intelligent design if the God stuff is beyond your grasp right now
