They are coming in from outside looking for food and water. Make sure there is no water sitting around. Then sprinkle around the outside of the house with Amdro. It's available at most hardware stores. They will take the bait and leave your house and go die in their deep ugly cavernous hole!

Buy those little ant traps and put them in places where the ants come in. When I used to have ants I placed the traps under the sink, on the windowsill behind the sink and by the door. If you have pets read the instructions, but I'd put them where the animals can't reach them. Remember, you have to let the ants be active so they can get into the traps and take the poison back to their nests, so avoid trying to get rid of them when you see them for the first week or two. Also you can get a can of ant spray and spray around the outside of the house, and in the basement around the window casings and floors. Good luck!

My neighbor works for a bug company and she said to use windex because sprays like raid are so dangerous inside. You can also use an orange peel with a little windex in it. Orange peels are suppose to attract ants.

Spread a mixture of baking soda and table salt all over, then vacuum up. Ants hate salt.

Go to Home Depot or your local hardware store.
There are ant/roach sprays, traps, & liquid bait.
Be careful if you have pets; read the labels.

sometimes dumping a bag of sugar in the backyard lures them out there rather than in your house, if you'd like to avoid poisons and traps.
