The libs are trying to get those things as of right now. That's why we need to stop them in 2008 before it's too late.

According to libs, nearly everything is a human right that the government needs to provide! In the near future, a TV, Internet, mocha lattes and a hybrid vehicle will be basic human necessities according to them! We do have a lot of that crap here in MN. A lot of public housing, welfare to provide food and clothing, and the libs inefficient failure of a brain child light rail (mass transit).

Basic human rights are equal justice and liberty for everyone and the rights to aquire food, water and shelter on their own, it does not mean someone else needs to provide such things, especially the government! Health care and transportation are NOT basic human rights!

Let's leave helpful caring individuals and charities to help out the struggling, not a welfare/nanny state government.

Maybe you do not have a family and/or have been lucky enough to have kept your job and your health insurance, but many people haven't been so fortunate. Health insurance and medical costs are not affordable to a large portion of the population economically speaking, especially when people usually loose their health insurance when they loose their job.

Many of the homeless people in this country are in that situation because of medical bills. Something is out of balance in the medical and pharmaceutical industry that is not fitting into our way of life. Something must be done about it. How people turn that into the democrats being socialists is beyond my comprehension. Even some Republican presidential candidates have been talking about a need for this.

Many things in our country are completely out of the realm of normalcy at this time and are out of control. Things need to be taken care of. There are other choices in the solving of these problems besides just either keeping the status quo or becoming socialists.

Acorn, you may or may not be a Christian but one of the things Christians are taught is that if a man is cold you give him your coat. If he is hungry you give him food. If he needs shelter from the elements you provide a place for him. Care of our fellow human beings is something He taught. The same can be said for another great religious leader and teacher called Buddha. He said much the same thing.

The kindness you show on earth will be rewarded many times greater after you depart or later in life.

It is kind of like the story of an old man walking in the desert. His car had broken down and a young man stopped and offered him a ride. The old man thanked him when the ride was done. Nothing was offered or askd for in terms of payment for the ride. When the old man died the younger man inherited a fortune from him. The man he picked up in the desert was Howard Hughs.

Liberals basically want everything provided for free. What they fail to realize, is that someone is paying for all the "free" stuff. Look at all the posters on here ascknowledging this under the guise of "basic human rights"... Please libs, show me where the founding fathers envisioned a welfare state. your "basics" come from working and earning them, not a free ride.

Acorn Cutie, they are already doing this to us now!! Ted Kennedy is trying to hand over a business to the FDA, they want to raise taxes on gasoline 50 cents per gallon to fund all kind of things, they want to raise taxes on tobacco by 156% to fund health care for the poor. Hillary wants Universal Health care, they want a new world order, they want everyone to be equal in pay. They want to take money from the rich to give to the poor when infact if they do that, the money will go in their pockets. Why would anyone pay $400 million dollars to have the presidency other to have the power that goes with it. They want to take over private sector and shut down capitalism. They want to tell you how to raise your children because they think that you are too stupid to do it on your own. They use horrible scare tactics about the enviroment to control your lives and industry even further. Many manufacturers have moved out of the country because of the enviromental restrictions on them, not to mention the out of control wages and demands from unions. We have enough oil right here on our own soil to supply us for the next 500 years and they have even developed a way of extracting the oil without hurting the enviroment. Yet they are not allowed to go after it. I am not talking about Alaska either. What is happening today is absolutely horrific!! The government was never meant to control our lives, we are adults and able to do so ourselves. Our educational system is collasping because the government has it's hand in it. It did much better on it's own.
It feels like the late sixties all over again, with people saying make love not war, peace, pot, and flowers. Whatever!!
We need to be Isolationist again and start cleaning up our own back yard before we even began to think about other countries! Democrats/Liberals/Socialist/Communist Makes no difference what label you put on them, they are one in the same! Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton and the rest are all left over hippies from the sixties who have now grown up and they are in power. They are now able to push their agenda. We need to be very careful who we vote for in 2008 or we could end up like old Russia! We need to vote the flower children out of power and put in some real people who actually have read our Constitution and Bill of Rights and understand where we are heading if something is not done now! Freedom of Religion means that we can practice our religion any where and any time we want without persecution!! That means if we want a nativity scene or if we want to pray in school, we should be allowed. If it offends someone, oh well, get over it. Libs, your days in power are numbered, so put your peace, pot, flower power, and one world one people crap in the closet for the next 40 years! It is time to vote pro Constitution, pro Bill of Rights, pro Capitalism!! Vote for lower taxes, reformed health care NOT Universal health care, vote for being self sustained with our own oil. Vote for independence again!! We are true Americans and we are not going to take it anymore!! If you don't like it, then move to Canada or England!!

Note to Henry VIII, Christians are taught to care for one another. But this is for individuals to do, not the Government!! The Government was never meant to care for the poor, we as a society are. That is exactly what charities are for! What in the h is wrong with people and you!!? You cry and complain about separation of church and state, yet you pull the christian card to support a nanny/welfare state to take care of the people of this country!? You people need to get oxygen to your brains because something is horribly wrong!

They're already trying

Hillary tried to bamboozle the American taxpayers into Universal HealthScare before, but we stood up and thwarted her plot

The liberal agenda is no different than the platform of the Communist Party. There are many websites which make the point-by-point comparison, and it's very scary!
